Two Stage Air Compressor

A two-stage air compressor is a heavy-duty air compressor with two cylinders – one piston pumps air into the second cylinder that further increases the air pressure. A two stage air compressor is a device that increases the amount of air in a confined space which builds pressure in a storage tank which then generates power for industrial, commercial and personal uses.

Some of the features of a two-stage air compressor are:

1. A two-stage air compressor has two cylinders, or air storage chambers. There are also two pistons for pumping air;
2. There are 2 pistons for pumping air into the storage tank;
3. The first piston compresses air and sends it into the second cylinder and then to an air storage tank where the compressed air is stored for future use;
4. A two-stage air compressor generates power for heavy-duty equipment requiring air pressure above 150 psi;
5. In a work shop environment these air compressors can be used continuously for several hours powering multiple air tools for as long as required;
6. They are normally powered by electricity because they are easy to use and, therefore, more common;
7. Gas powered compressors are used in the absence of electricity, or where it is difficult to use electricity.

Two-stage air compressors are mainly used in manufacturing or where it is necessary to power pneumatic tools like rachet wrenches, paint sprayers and air nailers. Typically you will find them in gas stations, manufacturing plants and on construction job sites.

1. Air pressure;
2. Airflow;
3. Efficiency, and;
4. Operating costs.

A two-stage air compressor works as a total air supply system for commercial establishments and manufacturing companies. It can also serve as an efficient backup power system.

A two-stage air compressor is more energy efficient than other compressors by using more air power it generates less heat and generates greater power than an electric powered air compressor, and they are much safer than other power generation systems.
